Mechatronics Engineer

• Responsible for complete electric motor test stand design and build to support validation work of company technology.

• Developing test bench infrastructure that prioritizes data fidelity and ease of use

• Validating prototype controllers and motor technology compared to metrics from simulation

• Worked remotely during COVID-19 pandemic on accuracy evaluation for simulation data.

McLaren Applied Technologies

Simulation Engineering InterN

• Frequency response R&D on McLaren's Vehicle Dynamics Simulator.

• Manufactured components for the A-Arms, push rods, and tie rods for the 2015 car and aided the Aerodynamics team in the fabrication of the carbon fiber wings and nose cone.

• Reduced the 2016 car’s steering system weight as sub-team lead by 7% while increasing serviceability and eradicating previous steering wheel backlash issues.

• Developed the 2017 car’s suspension kinematics, driving the team to a 2nd place overall finish in the EV category of the Lincoln FSAE Competition.

• Led kinematic design for the 2018 car while directing driver training, purchasing, PR, and team sponsorships. The car was fastest in endurance, acceleration, and autocross.

• Oversaw projects ranging from 24-hour performance testing and power-based noise reduction to benchmark data processing and car preparation for media driving events.

• Assisted with the completion of a variety of issue resolution projects involving both N&V and ride & handling for Chevy Performance Cars at the Proving Grounds.

• Prepared components, assembled shocks, and tuned dampers for customers.

• Provided trackside support for customers at multiple motorsports venues. Rebuilt broken shocks and tested problematic shocks on the dynamometer

• Chairman of Marlin Golf Classic (2012-2017)

• Directed fundraising efforts and coordinated volunteers for the event, which raised

  $1.5M USD for Cystic Fibrosis research in six years as chairman.

• Recipient of the 2015 David Kenworthy Kerr Award as a result of CF fundraising.

• Member of Oklahoma City’s Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Executive Leadership Board (2018-present)

• Chairman of Hunt for a Cure (2016-2018)

  • Started a scavenger hunt fundraiser at MIT for cystic fibrosis with a group of friends.

  • Raised $10k with 176 students participating over the event’s two years.

• Won 38 races in 600cc mini sprint cars with ASCS2 and POWRi Series over 7 years.

• Rookie of the Year 2013 in the Bertil Roos Racing School F2000 Series with 4 wins.

• Won the 2016 SCCA Majors Southeastern Conference FF Championship.
